My Favorite Kicks

Converse Weapons (1986)
These iconic shoes helped shaped basketball in the mid-'80s. Worn by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson the shoes created a friendship between two lifetime rivals. I owned a pair of retro releases in the early 2000’s.

Air Penny I (1995)
Forget your basketball skills, these shoes alone would be enough to put you on the varsity team.

Air Jordan XI "Playoffs" (1995-1996)
Black/Varsity Red-White
The all-time greatest Air Jordan shoes ever released. The Chicago Bulls went 72-10 the season Jordan wore these. My first pair of Jordan’s were the Air Jordan VIII, which I had in the 3rd grade. I was in 7th grade when these were released. I reserved a pair over the phone, thinking I could eventually talk my parents into buying them. I had no luck and had to cancel the order.
Original price: $125

Nike Air Zoom Flight '96
'Carbon Fiber' Matte Silver/Black
Penny Hardaway debuted these shoes in a different colorway during the '96 Olympics in Atlanta. I had a chance to buy a retro pair a couple of years ago, but they did not have my size.
Original price: $130

Nike Air Foamposite One (1997):
The best basketball kicks of all time. Nothing left to say.
$170-275

Nike Air Max LeBron X Low "Independence Day" (2014)
University Red/Obsidian-White
I am not a Lebron fan, but I love these shoes. The 11’s were the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I was fortunate to find an "Easter" colorway at an outlet in Pompano Beach, Florida. I like the Independence Day theme, and wish they would rerelease these. There hasn't been a better Lebron shoe since this pair.
Original price: $175

Celeb Tweet Replies

Below I have listed my favorite celebrity tweet replies. These are not anything major, but it was exciting to see celebrities comment or like my Tweets.

Brian Jordan
Former Atlanta Falcon & Atlanta Brave, Sports Analyst for FOX SportSouth, Owner of Game Face Apparel, GameFace Camps, and Founder of the Brian Jordan Foundation
Comments: My favorite baseball player as a kid. I idolized Brian Jordan during his days as a St. Louis Cardinal right fielder. One of few athletes that played both in MLB and the NFL. Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders are the other two that come to mind.

Comments: Both Ron and David liked my tweet. As a kid, I grew up playing Monkey Island and other LucasArts Games.

My Twitter exchange with Curt Schilling
Curt was a regular broadcaster during ESPN Sunday Night baseball and a highly credible MLB pitcher. He is highly criticized for mixing politics into his baseball announcing, which I am not a fan of. I do not care which side anyone leans toward, I do not feel baseball is the place for politics. It’s a game that reaches people of all ages and races with no discrimination. Curt is having a hard time reaching the Hall of Fame. Sports writers who vote are being biased based on his views. My exchange with him lasted a few messages. Curt eventually blocked me, which I am proud of. I do not condone trolling, but Curt Schilling is the exception. LOL

My 2017 NBA All-Star Ballot

This years NBA All-Star game will be taking place in New Orleans. My picks are biased, but I have my reasons for voting for these players. I am refusing to vote for Lebron, only because I am not a fan of his iso style of play, ongoing complaining, and ego. The same could be said about Stephen Curry’s ego, but Westbrook and Harden have had better seasons. Kevin Durant barely made my ballot, but I’ve seen this guy put on clinics against other teams. Durant is worthy regardless how he left Oklahoma City. The headline of the All-Star game will be Westbrook and Durant teaming up again with James Harden being the peace maker.

West
Two Guards: Russell Westbrook, James Harden
Three Frontcourt: Kevin Durant, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Anthony Davis

East
Two Guards: Isaiah Thomas, Demar Derozan
Three Frontcourt: Jimmy Butler, Paul George, Al Horford

Rondo Trade Projections

I believe it’s only a matter of time before Rajon Rondo will be traded. Rondo has said before that he would be happy to finish his career with the Boston Celtics because he doesn’t want to be traded before he becomes a free agent this summer. The Boston Celtics cannot risk him leaving without getting anyone in return.

Line up possibilities:
Dallas Mavericks: Rondo, Ellis, Parsons, Nowitzki, Chandler
Houston Rockets: Rondo, Harden, Ariza, Montiejunas, Howard
Oklahoma City Thunder: Rondo, Westbrook, Durant, Ibaka, Adams (Should be Perkins)

To me Rondo would best fit in with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and then they could move Russell Westbrook to the 2 guard position.

The Celtics do not care about trading Rondo to a contender, but it’s what makes sense. If you are trading for Rondo you will want him to resign with your team.
